in to the shadows i do walk

in to the shadows i do walk,
a letter in my hand.
passed the bloody scenes i do walk,
to a garden where black roses bloom.
for no deaths have come tonight
as i stare at the roses.

i read the letter in my hand
and my hearts sorrow grows for he is not here.
